This morning we set off at about 8.30, sayonara Hiroshima! We took the Shinkansen to Kokura, then travelled to Yufuin by bus. The scenery was magnificent with plenty of cherry blossoms.

The students enjoyed a relaxing stroll through the pretty streets of Yufuin in the spring sunshine. Mount Yufu looked spectacular against the blue sky. After lunch and a spot of shopping we boarded the bus and set off for Umitamago aquarium in Beppu city. There was plenty to see; walruses, dolphins and millions of fish!

Happily relaxing at our hotel, we are now thinking about our plans for tomorrow and looking forward to our evening meal and a real hot spring bath.
